Pride in Every Harvest: Frankie’s Iron Hub Story

Harvest is an emotional time at Iron Hub Winery. It’s the culmination of months of care in the vineyard—and the beginning of transforming beautiful fruit into wines we’ll eventually share with you.

For Iron Hub team member Frankie, those emotions come from great pride.

“It’s just pride in the product we produce and being hands-on with the fruit,” Frankie shares.

That hands-on connection makes harvest especially meaningful. From the moment the grapes arrive at the winery, every team member plays a role in shaping the finished wine. It’s demanding work, but it also creates moments that remind us why we love what we do.

Frankie is particularly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Iron Hub winemakers Tom and Spencer. Both earned master’s degrees from UC Davis and bring tremendous knowledge, skill, and dedication to every vintage.

“They’re great guys to learn from—and a wonderful family to be around,” Frankie says. “It makes it a joy to come to work.”

That spirit of learning, collaboration, and family is at the heart of Iron Hub. Harvest may begin with exceptional fruit, but it’s the people behind each bottle—and the pride they take in their work—that make our wines truly special.
