An Update from Our Winemakers ~ August 2024

Iron Hub’s vineyards are beautiful as we approach the peak of summer. The view of the Sierra Nevada mountains, the blue skies, and the lush green vines is truly stunning.

Veraison is taking place in the vineyard!  At this stage, green grapes begin to soften and change color on the vine, indicating the start of ripening. For winemakers Tom and Spencer Jones, walking through the vineyard and monitoring all the changes as harvest approaches is an exciting experience.

We had a fantastic rainy season, allowing us to dry farm almost all our vineyard blocks and provide irrigation to our younger ones to withstand the summer heat waves.

Our careful canopy management has shielded the grape clusters from direct sunlight, ensuring a bountiful and healthy crop.

The team is buzzing with anticipation as we prepare for the upcoming harvest. Depending on the weather conditions, we expect the harvest to begin in the first week of September.

We always love having our Inner Circle Club members join us at our events or relax with a bottle of wine on our patio. Our new covered pavilion provides shade over the patio and offers a tranquil space for everyone. Check out our events calendar and social media channels for the latest happenings.
